TELEGRAM. The Governor of HongKong to the Secretary of State

for the Colonies.

I can grant leave for duration of war to

twelve European Police if their services are

required. All are anxious to go to the front;

and all have been in the Army except one who joined

from the Navy. Colony would pay passage.
